1. Heat Printing

Heat printing, also known as heat transfer, is the process of applying an ink-based design (usually one printed on a sheet of special transfer paper) onto the product with a heat press machine. As the name implies, a heat press works by using heat and pressure to apply the design to the garment. The medium to transfer the design is called transfer paper, sublimation paper etc.

The advantage of heat transfering is the image is long lasting and easily process to any garment which thermostable and had the ability to absorb color such as jersey, T-shirt, ay other fabric. It’s is very suitable for personalized product as it can be processed from only 1 quantity.

Pros

  • Allow processing small quantity orders.
  • Allow individual customization with different names on each garment.
  • Photo prints can be transferred in full color.
  • Allows for a variety of colors and placements on a garment.
  • Prints appear best on light colored garments.

Step 3

Cut out the artwork on the transfer paper for pressing onto the garments.

Step 4

Lay the mirrored artwork or image face down over your chosen T-shirt.

Step 5

Place the artwork and garment between the plates of a heat press. Apply heat and medium to high pressure from the press to transfer the artwork onto the garment.

Step 6
